About Us
Mortehoe Shellfish has been in operation for over 30 years. We are a family run business and between us all we catch it, cook it and present it to you to the best of our ability. We have our own boat `Walrus` and our own sea water holding tanks which allows us to store the daily catch and provide you with the freshest seafood served in a simple way. Although we do not sell live lobsters and crabs ourselves, you can have them delivered straight from the boat by following the link, www.walrusfisheries.co.uk
You can have velute,potage,brulage, gougere or sauteed - but not here! Our aim is to give you the undisguised genuine taste of seafood. If you order a lobster or a crab - that is exactly what you will get, mainly because we can`t cook anything fancy.
We encourage you to eat with your fingers to save washing up, but aprons and cutlery are provided in case you come all dressed up. We do make things like lobster and crab easy for you to eat to avoid re-decorating the dining room every week!
Sauce is usually provided by the girls but we do have some home made ones as well. In this relaxed atmosphere you will find us very easy to get along with as we appear to be unable to master the art of sophistication.

What do we do?
We sell many types of seafood, including lobsters and crabs, stored in our own sea water holding tanks for ultimate freshness.
Try our fish wrapped in foil with tasty herbs for the barbecue or oven.
We serve fish and seafood lunches in our dining room or on the patio weather permitting from 12 - 3pm
Our seafood platters for 2 are served in the evenings from 6pm (Bookings requested) Or you can have just a crab or lobster so you can roll your sleeves up and have a go.
Our seafood van visits many of the camping and caravan sites in the area throughout the week.
